Neil McGregor-Paterson

Neil is an accomplished communication professional with 29 years’ experience in the healthcare and associated sectors. An excellent strategist with proven success within the Global, European, US and UK markets; including in-house experience, management of a number of leading PR agencies, and more recently management of three payer communication consultancies, one of which also specialized in clinical trial recruitment.

Neil is a skilled communicator, problem solver and team player, whose career has been built on an ability to construct and deliver innovative solutions to challenging problems. This is coupled to a deeply embedded empathy with patients that supports delivery of patient-centric insights and programs that help meet the patient-centric agenda.

Neil has been responsible for delivering a number of award winning programs, the most recent of which was the Communiqué 2015 award for Excellence in Media Relations. His program was recognized for delivering tangible outcomes through the perfect execution of more traditional media relations.

Neil’s professional experience is complemented by a breadth of work within the non-governmental, HIV, sexual health, affordable housing and drug and alcohol misuse sectors. This includes Directorship roles with bpha, a leading provider of affordable housing and the Terrence Higgins Trust, Europe’s largest HIV and sexual health charity. In addition, Neil currently holds the role of Secretariat to both Health Technology Assessment International’s (HTAi) Patient and Citizen Involvement in HTA Working Group and their newly formed global Patient Panel.
