George Davatelis, PhD, MS

Medical Marketing Strategist

Dr. George Davatelis is a medical marketing strategist with 15 years of success
creating and implementing medical communication programs for pharmaceutical and
biotechnology products. His background includes a doctorate from Weill Cornell Medical
School, a Post-doctoral Fellowship at The Rockefeller University and several years
of federal government service as a health policy analyst on global health issues. He
has provided medical consultation and strategic direction for promotional development
and communications plans, and has overseen the tactical implementation of market
development initiatives for many clients.

Dr. Davatelis has extensive experience in many therapeutic areas, including oncology,
cardiovascular, and immunology. Prior to becoming a private consultant to the
pharmaceutical and medical education sector, he was vice president and senior medical
strategist at Havas Life. Some of his marketing proficiencies include: strategic planning;
tactical conceptualization; websites and interactive e-marketing programs; MOA videos,
educational training modules and instructional designing of games, online tools and
interactive case studies.

Some of his recent experience with oncology projects include overseeing the writing
of a review article on afatinib, a novel TKI recently approved for NSCLC with EGFR +
mutations, creating w-learning modules on monoclonal antibody ramucirumab for use
in hepatocellular carcinoma, and creating an educational primer on advanced renal cell
carcinoma, highlighting the VEGF-specific inhibitor tivozanib. He also worked with a
major pharmaceutical company to revamp their pipeline philosophy and presentation
for their Congress oncology booth, both static and interactive, which was presented at
ASCO four years running.
