The Challenge
The primary challenge was to position the UEG as the primary authority on digestive health for policymakers while simultaneously enhancing internal knowledge and awareness around key policy files within the organization.
Our Approach
CCG provided strategic advice and regular policy briefings to UEG member associations, staff, and leadership. We supported the strategy setting, planning, and implementation of an annual EU advocacy program. Additionally, we organized two to three high-impact policy events annually, which included preparation workshops, public relations support, speech writing, presentation drafting, and full logistics management.
The Outcome
The advocacy efforts successfully led to the launch of a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) Interest Group for Digestive Health in 2018. Since then, the program has organized six successful events, including a high-level EU Summit that attracted over 100 attendees.
